on Supporting the Study and Protection of Petroglyphs and Rock Inscriptions

On Supporting the Study and Protection of Petroglyphs and Rock inscriptions
With the INTENT to support the ideas and initiatives of scientists, citizens and organizations on the preservation and study of rock paintings and inscriptions, the unique and wonderful stone scriptures, historical, cultural and artistic heritage immortalized in the rock by our ancestors:
and Based on Article 34.1 of the Constitution of Mongolia, Article 9.1 of the Law on the President of Mongolia, and Article 11.1.1 of the Law on Protection of Cultural Heritage, hereby DECREES:
1. to Instruct the Office of the President, and the Academy of Sciences to establish an international joint research team to study cross-border cultural heritage, including petroglyphs and rock inscriptions; and to organize an international conference on petroglyphs and rock inscriptions - the “Petroglyphs and Rock Inscriptions Conference” biannually marking the occasion of World Heritage Day.
2. and hereby Encourage the scientists, social, and cultural figures, all levels of administrative, governmental and non-governmental organizations, tourism organizations, and the public to organize a wide-ranging and effective work to preserve the petroglyphs and rock inscriptions, to promote them in the world, and to develop new forms of tourism.
